Aunt Leslie sent this photo that she took during her last visit.
I've got a few new shots to upload, but since Zoe is crawling all over me right now, they'll have to wait until I get a free minute.

Zoe had her nine-month check-up on Monday. She weighed in at 20.4 lbs and measures 27 inches in length. Everything seems to be okay, though we need to expand her diet some more (it's yogurt time!).
The Chinese hat in the pictures comes courtesy of Aunt Leslie, who will surely cultivate any Abzug-ian tendency towards hats that Zoe has.
Here's a smattering of new pics and videos. In those picturesof Zoe with a snapshot, the snapshot is a picture of Zoe's dad. Now you understand why she looks terrified in that one shot.
Is it just me or does Zoe resemble her grandmother?
The videos are at these links. (I might have uploaded the same one twice.)

Here are four more videos, including two of Zoe developing her editorial skills on a submission to the magazine. (It's from Alex Irvine, who has two young kids of his own who probably tested the manuscript already.) Years from now, Zoe will be able to say quite accurately that she cut her teeth on ficton by Kate Wilhelm, Lucius Shepard, and Rick Bowes.

No new pictures, but I'm afraid Zoe's worst nightmare has come to pass: Daddy has figured out how to upload the videos he takes with his little digital camera. Here are links to four little videos:

They came bearing gifts, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Leslie. Zoe will soon be modeling some of the fine threads she received, but for now you can see the lovely grasshopper they brought. Zoe behaved well and didn't fling any of her applesauce at her relations. Check out her expression in picture #8: is she contemplating her genetic heritage? (Poor kid.)
At her six-month check-up, Zoe weighed in at 17 pounds and measured 25 inches long. Everything met with the doctor's approval.
Zoe now has her high chair and she's starting on solid foods. Oatmeal and rice agree with her, and she's trying carrots now. Next we're going to try putting some chimichangas and enchiladas into the food processor and feeding the results to her.
Zoe is very interested in the cats now, as you can see in the pictures with Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pugsley has decided the bassinet is his turf.
The professional shots of Zoe finally came in. Vladimir the photographer (no relation to Vlad the Impaler) dropped them off today. They turned out well, though I don't blame Zoe for looking a little, uh, dyspeptic in the last shot. I'd react the same way (or worse) if I had to wear a hat like that.
The shame and horror of going days without adding any new photos caught up with me today and here are some fresh shots of Zoe in her orange outfit. As you can see, she's starting to sit up without support and will probably boot me out of my office chair shortly. She has also grown more amenable to slush manuscripts, as you can see from the shot of her in the blue basket. Unfortunately, the slushpile itself has nearly grown as much as Zoe has. (I wonder if the slush weighs more than Zoe's 15 pounds.)
Rachel and Max came to see Zoe at the end of March.
The question is, will anyone start a series of stories about Zoe and her cousins and the capers they have with a professor who explains mysterious boxes and disappearing flags to them?
These shots are from March 24.
In the third picture, you can compare Zoe and the picture to see if she resembles her father much.
Zoe's smiling and giggling more now. I'm hoping to get a few shots of her smiling soon.
